Dr Hazem Akil, Neurosurgeon and Spinal Surgeon

With a special interest in diagnosis and treatment of spinal disorders and peripheral nerves disease, Dr Akil’s philosophy is that surgical management should be tailored and personalised, he believes every patient is a special case.

In the management of degenerative spinal disease, spinal cord tumours and spinal trauma Dr Akil applies the latest state of the art techniques including minimally invasive surgery where appropriate.

Dr Hughes is a general adult psychiatrist with a special interest in liaison psychiatry. He can cover all diagnostic categories including adolescent, maternal, addiction and trauma based presentations.

Dr Pankaj Jha, Vascular Surgeon

Dr Jha treats a large range of vascular disease conditions including those of the Carotid arteries, Thoracic and Abdominal Aorta, Upper and Lower limb arteries, Deep venous thrombosis, and Lymphoedema. He also treats conditions like Hyperhidrosis and Thoracic outlet syndromes. He also uses the latest minimally invasive techniques for the treatment of varicose veins.

Dr Nichols’ areas of interest and expertise include all aspects of General Paediatrics including children with disabilities needing complex multidiciplinary car, neonatal medicine and follow-up of premature babies, feeding and gastrointestinal issues, schooling difficulty and developmental disorders, endocrine and neurological disorders.

Dr Mark Robinson, Orthopaedic Surgeon

Dr Robinson is a Queensland trained orthopaedic surgeon specialising in the upper limb. He has completed post fellowship subspecialty training in the shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand, in addition to tendon, nerve and microvascular surgery including finger re-implantation. He enjoys managing both elective conditions and complex trauma.

Prof Tripathi provides advanced endovascular or surgical treatments for aortic aneurysms, carotid interventions for stroke prevention, Diabetic Foot and lower limb ischemia; symptomatic Cervical Rib and Thoracic Outlet Syndrome; treatments for leg swelling and venous ulcers; varicose veins – endovenous ablation therapies (laser/radiofrequency/glue) and AV malformations.
