Social Justice Issues

A sincere thank you to all the kind school families and parishioners who donated to our SVDP Winter Appeal.  The goods were kindly collected by the Tully Branch of SVDP at the end of Term 2 and they were very much aprreciative of our collection of food, clothing and blankets.  These items have been distributed to needy members of our community.  

We are now into Term 3 and have a busy time ahead of us.  Knitting and sewing crafts will officially commence in Week 5 when the ladies from the Silkwood CWA will be joining us to assist the students on Tuesdays with knitting our Trauma Teddies and helping to make Fiddle Blankets for the residents of the Tully Nursing Home.  Students wanting to knit or sew can prepare by sourcing knitting needles size 4 and 8 ply wool.  Some material is available at school.  

Please mark the following dates in your diaries:

• Saturday 17th August - We will be holding a disco after the Year 2/3 Mass
• Friday 30th August - Our Mini Vinnies Sleepout for the homeless.
